Sikubora launches first pilot for Solar Home Systems in Arusha

Sikubora has completed the first pilot of solar home systems in Arusha.  We have installed 25 systems in rural Arusha, centered around several farming communities to the north and east of the city.
Two system offerings, 120W and 140W provide customers with lighting, cell phone charging in their home, and access to television, which is included with the system.  For all of our customers this is their first access to electricity within their own home.

Sikubora partners with the Arusha Technical College

Sikubora is excited to announce our partnership with Arusha Technical College (ATC).  We will be working closely with their renewable energy and solar energy technician students as they train to qualify for their technician status.
Arusha Technical College has a deep history of practical, hands on experience as a way of teaching students instead of only being a theory based institution.  This hands on experience gives students valuable, out of classroom skills that will prepare them well for their future careers.
